Job Description

Profile

• Start: ASAP / by arrangement
• Duration: 3-6 months with option for extension
• Workload: Full-time
• Location: Hybrid / by arrangement
• Environment: Aerospace / Landing Gear / Embedded Systems
• Conception, planning, and execution of penetration tests and security assessments for embedded systems in the aerospace environment
• Analysis of embedded hardware, firmware, and communication interfaces for potential vulnerabilities and attack possibilities
• Execution of technical security tests at system and component level, including identification, assessment, and documentation of vulnerabilities
• Investigation of relevant communication protocols and interfaces as well as assessment of possible attack vectors
• Derivation and coordination of suitable security measures and mitigations with development, systems engineering, and other technical departments
• Creation of comprehensible test reports, security findings, and technical documentation as well as support in verifying implemented measures
• Several years of experience in cybersecurity, penetration testing, or embedded security
• Profound knowledge in the security analysis of embedded systems, firmware, and hardware-related systems
• Experience with common methods and tools for vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and security testing
• Knowledge of embedded communication and hardware-related interfaces, for example CAN, Ethernet, or serial interfaces
• Ideally, experience in the aerospace, avionics, or safety-critical systems environment
• Advantageous: Knowledge of relevant aerospace and cybersecurity standards, for example DO-326A / ED-202A, as well as experience with structured threat and risk assessments
