Data Engineer Dataiku – Migration SAS & Insurance Accounting

Project overview

Our client, a player in the insurance sector, is looking for a Consultant Data / Dataiku – Migration SAS & Insurance Accounting (M/F) as part of a freelance mission.

As part of the modernization of its Analytics environment and the deployment of a platform based on Dataiku DSS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), the mission consists of migrating existing SAS treatments, ensuring the reliability of results, and supporting business teams in their autonomy.

Deliverables:

• Analyze about ten existing SAS queries, of simple to medium complexity, and identify the associated accounting management rules.
• Understand historical treatments, their calculation rules, and their dependencies, including VBA code present in some Excel files.
• Reproduce SAS treatments in Dataiku DSS using the platform's native functionalities, SQL, and Python if necessary.
• Exploit data available on GCP and take into account data access methods.
• Control the consistency of the results obtained and compare them with historical treatments.
• Document the developed treatments and associated management rules.
• Optimize existing queries and contribute, as needed, to the creation of new analytical treatments.
• Support business teams in getting started with Dataiku and transmit best practices to promote their autonomy.
• SAS queries migrated to Dataiku DSS and documented.
• Comparison and control results with historical treatments.
• Documentation of accounting management rules and developed treatments.
• Optimization recommendations and new analytical queries as needed.
• Support for business teams in adopting Dataiku.
