Project overview

We are now looking for a Data Engineer to join a team within Data & Analytics where you will have a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making by developing, optimizing, and managing modern data platforms.

About the role

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data flows and pipelines that ensure the right data is available for analysis, reporting, and business-critical decisions. You will work with large and complex datasets in modern cloud environments where performance, data quality, and availability are central requirements. The role encompasses both technical depth and close collaboration with the business, analysts, architects, and other development teams.

You will have significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence technical solutions, ways of working, and best practices within data platforms, data modeling, and development.

• Develop and manage data platforms and data pipelines
• Design, implement, and optimize data flows for large datasets
• Work with data modeling and data warehousing
• Ensure high quality, availability, and performance in the data platform
• Optimize BigQuery solutions and data processes
• Build and further develop solutions with DBT and Jinja SQL
• Work with Infrastructure as Code through Terraform
• Develop and maintain CI/CD processes in GitHub
• Integrate and manage data from streaming platforms such as Kafka
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and the business on data needs and solution design
• Document solutions and establish common ways of working and best practices
• Very good experience with DBT and Jinja SQL
• Very good experience with Terraform
• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), for example:
• BigQuery
• Dataflow
• Cloud Functions
• Cloud Run
• Cloud Build
• Experience with GitHub CI/CD
• Experience with Kafka or other event streaming platforms
• Very good understanding of Data Warehousing and data modeling according to, for example, the Kimball methodology
• Experience with BigQuery optimization and performance improvements
• Fluent English in speaking and writing
• Python
• IAM and platform administration
• Experience with AI-assisted development with, for example, GitHub Copilot or Claude
• Fluent Swedish
• Experience with modern Data Mesh or Data Platform environments
