Job description
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our client's team. The role involves onboarding metadata, creating data lineage, supporting data quality, and automating metadata flows within a modern data/cloud platform.
Project overview
For our client, we are looking for – Data Engineer
You will be a key person in how we:
Work tasks
- onboard metadata from various source systems to our data catalog
- create and maintain data lineage
- support the work with data quality
- automate flows around metadata and the catalog
- You will work closely with data engineers, devops, data stewards, architects, and the business in a modern data/cloud platform.
- Connect databases, report tools, pipelines, etc. to the data catalog
- Ensure that tables, columns, reports, and APIs are described correctly
- Build and improve data lineage from source systems to consumption
- Support the implementation of data quality rules and expose results in the catalog
- Write scripts/tools for automation and integrate into CI/CD flows
- Collaborate with data stewards to link technical objects to business concepts
Requirements
Meritorious:
Experience with data catalogs, preferably Alation, otherwise e.g. Collibra, Purview, AB Initio
Experience with data quality frameworks and modern data/cloud platforms
Previous work in a regulated environment, preferably banking/finance and insurance
End date: 2027-06-30
Scope: 100%
- Several years of experience as a Data Engineer, BI Developer, or similar
- Very good knowledge of SQL, preferably also Python or another scripting language
- Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and DevOps work (Git, CI/CD)
- Interest in metadata, structure, and traceability
- Communicate fluently in Swedish and English
- Start date: 2026-11-16
