Data Modeller | UK Mortgages & Retail Lending
£400 per day inside IR35 | Bristol | Hybrid
6-month initial contract | Multiple extensions on offer
We're looking for an experienced Data Modeller to join a data transformation programme, working closely with engineers and business stakeholders to deliver well-defined, analytics-ready data.
This opportunity suits someone who combines strong conceptual and logical data modelling skills with an understanding of UK mortgages or retail lending, and can translate complex data journeys into clear technical requirements.

- Develop conceptual and logical data models to support transformation and analytics requirements.
- Undertake end-to-end data lineage analysis, tracing data from source systems through transformations to its final use.
- Produce source-to-target mappings (STTM) and document transformation rules.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries, capturing business definitions and data relationships.
- Map customer and data journeys across mortgage or retail lending processes.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into engineer-ready specifications.
- Proven data modelling experience within UK mortgages or retail lending.
- Strong expertise in conceptual and logical data modelling.
- Experience documenting data lineage, STTM and data dictionaries.
- Strong business analysis and stakeholder elicitation skills.
- Experience working alongside engineers on transformation programmes to prepare data for analytics.
- £400 per day inside IR35
- Bristol-based hybrid working
- 6 months initially, with multiple extensions on offer
