Data Scientist - 12-Month Contract - Inside IR35 - UK (Hybrid)
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a leading technology services organisation on a 12-month hybrid contract. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to explore problem statements, test different approaches and build industrialised applications, leading the development of advanced Machine Learning models and AI applications. A minimum of 2 days per week on-site is required.

- Lead the development of advanced Machine Learning models and AI applications
- Collect, process and analyse large datasets from multiple sources
- Build experimental models and ML applications in Python
- Carry out complex statistical analysis and interpret the results
- Lead small teams in developing and maintaining data science products
- Present key findings to business partners
- Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical guidance
- Keep up to date with industry trends in data science
- 6+ years' experience in data science
- Strong Python and machine learning skills, covering classical ML and LLMs
- Problem framing and AI/ML evaluation metrics
- Prompt engineering and RAG fundamentals
- Experiment design and model cards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Clear communication and confidence with clients and stakeholders
- Leadership and mentoring ability, with the capacity to work independently and negotiate priorities
- A collaborative approach and a willingness to keep learning
- Duration: 12 months
- Day Rate: £475-500 per day
- Determination: Inside IR35
