Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer – Pricing & Sales Forecasting

Mission Context

As part of a project for a retail player, we are looking for a Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer specialized in pricing to contribute to the evolution of a sales forecasting and price elasticity analysis engine.

The objective is to improve forecast accuracy, better measure the impact of price changes on sales, and develop models to evaluate product interactions.

Experience with ZenML or similar model lifecycle management tools is a plus.

• Design, develop, and improve Machine Learning models applied to sales forecasting.
• Model price elasticity to measure the impact of price changes on sales volumes.
• Analyze sales and pricing data, as well as factors that can influence demand.
• Evaluate model performance and propose areas for improvement based on statistical metrics.
• Contribute to pricing scenario simulation and the analysis of cannibalization effects between products.
• Participate in the industrialization of models and their integration into data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to ensure data quality, reliability, and availability.
• Languages: Python, SQL
• Machine Learning: LightGBM, forecasting models, and statistical methods
• Cloud & Data: GCP, BigQuery, Vertex AI
• Complementary Tools: dbt, Git, and CI/CD practices
