Set up a dataspace environment for secure sharing of satellite data, algorithms, and models between collaborating organizations. The role involves building APIs, implementing data pipelines, and managing access control.
Project overview
The assignment involves setting up a dataspace environment for the secure sharing of satellite data, algorithms, and models between collaborating organizations.
Profile of the suited interim professional:
- Set up and populate the catalog with STAC metadata and DCAT-AP-NL fields in a single record
- Build a facility that checks requests and outputs against published conditions
- Set up technical onboarding of participants based on Gaia-X participant credentials
- Set up logging for traceability of consumption and associated conditions
- Implement the template for terms of use in ODRL
- Expose datasets and data products via OGC APIs and a STAC API
- Expose models and calculation modules as a service without releasing the model or underlying data
- Realize a compute-to-data setup within the data owner's environment
- Build and manage data pipelines for geo and earth observation data
- Realize and demonstrate a machine-to-machine connection with a consumer application
- Test, validate, and document findability, accessibility, and compliance with conditions
- Consult with technical managers of involved organizations and external suppliers
- Completed HBO and/or WO education
- Demonstrable experience with building and exposing APIs
- At least 3 years of work experience as a data engineer and/or software developer within data platforms or data infrastructure
- At least 3 years of practical experience with Python, SQL, and JavaScript
- Experience with dataspace environments based on Gaia-X principles and Pontus-X is a plus
- Experience with exposing geo and earth observation data via open standards such as STAC, OGC APIs, and DCAT-AP-NL is a plus
- Experience with technical implementation of terms of use and access policies, such as ODRL and compute-to-data, is a plus
- Experience with cloud-native working, containerization, and building data pipelines for large datasets is a plus
- Available immediately for the start of the assignment
