Data Steward / Business Analyst Data Finance

Project overview

In a Finance context, you will work on a Data and Business Intelligence environment primarily based on SAP BW, Qlik Sense, and Board EPM.

Your mission will consist of ensuring the interface between Finance teams, users, and technical teams. You will support the business during monthly closings, budget exercises, and forecasts, particularly for data loading, control, and processing.

You will analyze and formalize Finance business needs to design and model suitable Data solutions with the technical teams. You will manage the backlog, evolution requests, and various deployments, especially during the integration of new entities.

You will be responsible for monitoring data availability and quality. You will prepare test scenarios and datasets, support users during UATs, and ensure production monitoring.

You will also be responsible for user training and support to ensure the adoption of solutions and the smooth running of Finance processes.

Finally, you will contribute to Data Governance initiatives, the enrichment of the Data Catalog, and the structuring of Data Products.

The mission is part of an Agile framework involving coordination, planning, backlog management, and activity tracking in JIRA.

Profile sought

You have proven experience as a Data Steward, Data Business Analyst, or in a hybrid role combining business understanding, functional analysis, and data management.

You have a strong command of Finance and Controlling issues, particularly monthly closing, budget, and forecast processes.

You possess solid skills in data modeling and SQL. Experience with Business Intelligence environments is essential. Knowledge of SAP BW, Qlik Sense, and/or Board EPM is particularly sought after.

You are capable of analyzing and formalizing business needs, designing a solution with technical teams, and coordinating its implementation up to production.

You master the main Agile project management activities: backlog management and prioritization, planning, coordination, test preparation, UAT support, and deployment monitoring. JIRA experience is expected.

You have excellent business relationship skills, strong coordination abilities, and real autonomy. You know how to support, train, and assist users during critical periods such as financial closings.
