Help build the data foundation for the energy transition

At Enexis, more and more teams are working with data to deliver value to the business faster. To ensure that these data products are reliable, consistent, and future-proof, we are investing in a strong foundation for our data landscape.

That's why we are building a new Foundation Acceleration Team.

As a Senior Data Vault Modeller, you will play a key role in designing the core of our enterprise data platform. You will ensure that data products are not only usable today but also remain scalable, traceable, and manageable for the future.

You are much more than just a technical specialist. You will collaborate with business experts, data stewards, architects, and development teams to understand complex business processes and translate them into high-quality Data Vault models. You will ask the right questions, facilitate workshops, create clarity in definitions, and ensure that data is captured consistently.

This is a role for an experienced professional who can operate independently and make an immediate impact on the quality of Enexis's data foundation.

What will you do?

Design and model high-quality Data Vault models for enterprise-wide data products.

Translate complex business processes into logical and sustainable data models.

Facilitate workshops and whiteboard sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Document business concepts, definitions, business keys, and attributes.

Ensure data quality, traceability, and consistent definitions within data products.

Establish and maintain lineage between business concepts and technical implementations.

Actively contribute to the further professionalization of Data Management within Enexis.

Identify and prevent technical debt by focusing on quality and sustainable designs.

Collaborate with architects, data stewards, data engineers, and other teams within the data ecosystem.

Contribute to the development of a future-proof data foundation that other teams can build upon.

What do you bring?

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's work and thinking level.

Several years of demonstrable experience with Data Vault modeling.

Experience with independently designing and implementing Data Vault solutions.

In-depth knowledge of data modeling, including Data Vault and dimensional modeling.

Strong analytical skills and experience with information analysis.

Experience with facilitating workshops and working with business stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to translate complex business processes into sustainable data models.

Experience with data quality, definitions, metadata, and data management principles.

Ability to operate independently in a complex organizational environment.

Nice to have

Experience within large data or analytics environments.

Knowledge of Data Management frameworks and governance processes.

Experience with Snowflake.

Experience with cloud-based data warehouse solutions.

Experience with Data Vault Automation tooling such as Data Vault Builder or WhereScape.

Knowledge of ETL or ELT processes.

Experience with Agile/SAFe.

Experience with Power BI.

Experience with Python.

Experience with API integrations.

This position is suitable for an experienced Data Vault specialist who works with data modeling daily, can operate independently, and is energized by creating structure, quality, and clarity in complex data environments.

We are explicitly not looking for a general Data Engineer or ETL specialist, but a senior professional with demonstrable experience in designing Data Vault solutions who can bridge the gap between business issues and sustainable data models.
