DB2 Expert Migration DB2, Docker and Data Extraction Experience Remote and Düsseldorf

Project overview

For our client in Düsseldorf, we are looking for a DB2 expert (m/f/d) with DB2, Docker, and data extraction experience for an estimated duration of 20 PT with the option of extension.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a candidate who could support us with a time-limited DB2 topic.

As part of a migration project at the client (insurance company), we need to extract data and especially documents (PDF, DOC, MSG, EML, etc.) from a database backup and store them in a structured manner outside the database in a folder structure.

An external system provider will provide a complete backup in DB2 format for this purpose. The backup is approximately 6 TB in size and should be restorable and analyzable via a Docker container with IBM DB*. Additionally, a mapping session with the provider is planned to classify the database structure and the relevant data and document areas.

Support is particularly sought for:

Restoration and analysis of a large DB2 backup,

Setup and operation of the required Docker environment,

Analysis and understanding of the database structure,

Identification and extraction of relevant documents including metadata, and

Storage of documents outside the database for flat-file archiving.

October, November & December (possibly also Q1.2027), likely spread over individual days and depending on the results of the mapping session.
