DBA Production multi-SGBD – Oracle / PostgreSQL / MongoDB – Senior

Project overview

For a large client in Île-de-France, we are looking for a senior multi-SGBD production DBA.

You will join the department responsible for supporting databases and application servers within the IT systems directorate (team of 6 people), on a large-scale Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB environment, running on Red Hat Linux.

The functional scope notably covers passenger information, economic data warehousing, accounting, human resources and payroll, as well as real-time operational applications.

Missions

Operational maintenance of production Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases, and Tomcat / Apache / JBoss application servers.

Level 3 support: handling and resolving production incidents, on-call duty according to team organization.

Installation, cloning, refreshing environments (Datapump), backup and restore (RMAN, pg_dump, Commvault), patching Oracle kernels.

Upgrades and migrations: Oracle 18c / 19c version upgrades, migrating applications from Oracle to PostgreSQL (Ora2Pg), supporting project teams.

High availability: Oracle Data Guard, PostgreSQL Replica / Patroni / etcd, MongoDB Replica Set; database actions as part of DR exercises.

Audits and performance analysis: AWR / ASH reports, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, tuning and optimization of SQL / PL/SQL queries; technical advice and support to development teams, validation of SQL deliveries before production.

Industrialization and automation of DBA tasks (Shell and Python scripts), data security.

Writing and updating standards, recommendations, operating procedures, installation guides, and operational documentation.

Profile

Expected Skills

Expertise in Oracle production administration (11g to 19c, RMAN, Data Guard, Grid Infrastructure, Cloud Control) and PostgreSQL (versions 11 to 17, Patroni).

MongoDB administration (Replica Set) in production.

Performance tuning and optimization (AWR / ASH, execution plans, partitioning, parallelism).

Linux Red Hat, Shell and Python scripting; Git / GitLab, Jira tools, monitoring (Centreon, Dynatrace, Datadog).

Tomcat / Apache / JBoss application servers; knowledge of SQL Server (Always On) and Oracle Fusion Middleware (Forms / Reports) is a plus.

Senior DBA, minimum 10 years of production experience on Oracle and PostgreSQL, including at least one long-term L3 support mission for a major client.

Autonomy, method, rigor, service-oriented, good interpersonal skills, analytical and alerting abilities, quickly operational.

Fluent French.
