DBA Senior Production / Study - SQL Server / PostgreSQL

Project overview

As a Senior DBA, you will be both a Production DBA and a Study DBA, ensuring the availability of critical databases while also being involved in the technical choices that will build tomorrow's platform.

You will work daily with the OPS, Development, Architecture, QA, and Release Management teams.

Contribute to migration, modernization, and architecture simplification projects.

DevOps

Contribute to various projects and the implementation of different solutions/applications using databases.

Profile sought

• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the e-commerce platform's critical databases.
• Administer SQL Server environments (AlwaysOn, backups, DR/BCP, monitoring, capacity planning).
• Diagnose complex production incidents and participate in crisis management.
• Implement maintenance, optimization, and version upgrade plans.
• Guarantee backups, restores, and recovery tests.
• Support development teams from the design phases.
• Challenge data models and technical choices.
• Participate in technical reviews and validate Pull Requests impacting databases.
• Optimize SQL queries and assist developers with performance issues.
• Define best development practices for data access.
• Actively participate in the platform's transformation around several technologies:
• Industrialize database deployments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Automate recurring operations.
• Participate in the implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
