GIBBS CONSULTING SUMMARY
Gibbs Consulting is a boutique IT services consultancy specialising in Data, AI, Infrastructure, Architecture and Digital. Established in 2005, we combine big-firm expertise with boutique-firm care, supporting leading organisations with technology delivery and transformation.
If you're a hands-on Delivery Manager with proven experience implementing multi-tenant SaaS platforms across multiple external enterprise customers, we'd be keen to hear from you.
The Opportunity
Gibbs Consulting is recruiting an experienced, hands-on Delivery Manager to support a major digital transformation programme for one of our established enterprise clients.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of multiple customer implementations of an established, highly configurable multi-tenant SaaS platform. You'll be responsible for delivering the same underlying software product across different enterprise customers, each with their own business requirements, configurations and integration needs, from initial discovery through to go-live and adoption.
We're particularly interested in individuals who have worked for SaaS vendors, software product companies or technology implementation partners, delivering an established platform to multiple external customers.
We're looking for someone who can operate at both a client-facing and technical delivery level. You'll be comfortable getting into the detail with Feature Teams, managing dependencies, challenging delivery timelines, resolving blockers and ensuring implementation commitments are met.
This is a hands-on delivery management position, rather than a strategic programme oversight or Product Owner role.
Key Responsibilities
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
Desirable
- Feature Team Delivery: Work closely with developers, business analysts, testers and implementation specialists to manage day-to-day delivery, challenge estimates, track progress, resolve blockers and hold teams accountable for agreed milestones.
- Multi-Tenant SaaS Implementation: Own end-to-end implementations of an established multi-tenant SaaS platform across multiple external enterprise customers, managing customer-specific configuration, integrations, testing, go-live and handover.
- Client Requirements: Lead discovery and scoping discussions, assess requirements against existing platform capabilities and identify standard functionality, tenant-specific configuration needs and non-standard development requirements.
- Delivery Planning: Manage detailed implementation plans, milestones, technical dependencies and competing priorities across multiple concurrent customer rollouts.
- Scope & Change Control: Assess customer change requests, evaluate delivery impacts and ensure changes are appropriately scoped, estimated, agreed and tracked.
- Commercial Awareness: Understand the implications of implementation scope, additional development and change requests on project costs, timelines and commercial commitments.
- Testing & Go-Live: Coordinate UAT/BAT, defect resolution, client acceptance, production readiness, deployment and transition into BAU support.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively manage RAID logs, identify delivery risks and drive issues through to resolution.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary delivery contact for clients, technical teams and internal stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Client Adoption: Support successful customer onboarding and post-launch adoption, ensuring customers realise value from the platform.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve implementation processes, delivery playbooks and the efficiency of repeatable customer onboarding.
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, SaaS Implementation Manager, Technical Delivery Manager or Client Delivery Manager, delivering enterprise software solutions.
- Demonstrable experience implementing and delivering the same multi-tenant SaaS platform across multiple external enterprise customers, ideally within a SaaS vendor, software product company or technology implementation partner.
- Strong hands-on experience managing cross-functional Feature Teams, including developers, business analysts, QA/testers and implementation specialists.
- Demonstrable ability to manage delivery at a detailed level, challenge technical estimates, resolve blockers and ensure teams meet agreed milestones.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent customer implementations, including tenant-specific configurations, integrations, client requirements and go-live activities.
- Strong understanding of configurable SaaS platforms, integrations, software development life cycles and implementation processes.
- Ability to distinguish between standard platform functionality, customer-specific configuration and bespoke development, with a clear understanding of the delivery and commercial implications.
- Experience managing client requirements, scope, change requests and commercial delivery commitments.
- Proven ownership of delivery planning, RAID management, UAT/BAT, go-live readiness, client acceptance and sign-off.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior client representatives.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Experience delivering B2B or B2B2C SaaS platforms at enterprise scale.
- Background in financial services, enterprise technology or regulated environments.
- Experience with subscription-based software products and implementation fee structures.
- Experience improving repeatable customer onboarding, implementation processes and delivery efficiency.
- Demonstrable success driving customer adoption following implementation.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 12 months
- Location: Greater London, UK, GB
