Developer - Microservices

Project overview

The project involves replacing an existing traffic control software solution for long-distance transport with a modern, cloud-based application. The software products are developed and operated in several agilely collaborating DevOps teams. The focus is on single-page applications based on a microservice architecture. Modern technologies such as cloud, Docker, CI/CD, and comprehensive delivery and test automation are used. Domain Driven Design (DDD), Test Driven Development (TDD), integrated vulnerability management, and user-centric development are central components.

INTERESTED?

• Building and further developing microservice architectures using DDD
• Technical architecture consulting, innovation, and standardization
• Development with Kotlin, Spring, AWS, Messaging, and Databases
• CI/CD with GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift, and operational automation
• MUST: >5 years – Backend development with Kotlin and Application Design (Ports & Adapter, IODA)
• MUST: >5 years – Frontend development and architecture with React
• MUST: >5 years – Agile engineering practices
• MUST: >5 years – Cloud and container infrastructure in microservice architectures
• MUST: >5 years – DevOps methods and technologies
• SHOULD: 2 projects/references – Strategic and tactical Domain Driven Design (30%)
• SHOULD: 2 projects/references – Docs-First, Docs-as-Code, Spec Driven Development (30%)
• SHOULD: >5 years – Monitoring with Prometheus (20%)
• Full-time employment with 8h/day and 5 days/week
• Planned project duration is 03.11.2026 – 31.10.2029
• You will perform your work mostly from a location of your choice in Germany (onshore)
