Job description
Join the team responsible for the Android mobile application "Picker", used by in-store order pickers. The role involves designing and developing new features, ensuring application reliability, and participating in its modernization.
Project overview
Context: join the team in charge of the Android mobile application "Picker", used by order pickers in stores to prepare orders for Intermarché Drive.
The application is a business tool at the heart of e-commerce activity: its reliability, speed, and ergonomics have a direct impact on the productivity of in-store teams and the quality of service provided to customers.
Build: design and develop new features for the Picker application in Kotlin (coroutines, Jetpack Compose), in conjunction with product owners and business teams, and participate in the progressive modernization of the application (migration to Compose, Clean Architecture, CI/CD improvement).
Run: ensure corrective and evolutionary maintenance of the application, analyze and resolve production incidents, and participate in the on-call system to guarantee service continuity for in-store picking.
Code Quality: produce reliable, maintainable, and tested code (code reviews, unit and integration tests, automation), taking into account field constraints: performance on mobile devices, variable connectivity in stores, and local data management (Room).
Best Practices: apply and promote the technical standards of the Mobile chapter (clean architecture, performance, security, documentation), share knowledge within the team, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Android development practices.
ANALYSIS Participates in the detailed functional analysis of user needs and may be involved in workshops for defining general specifications. Studies the technological opportunities and feasibility of the application, performs technical analysis, detailed study, and contributes to workload estimation.
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT:
Contributes to the design of software and frameworks used within the project. Adapts and applies the technical parameters of software packages or middleware. Performs prototyping.
Analyzes and develops components using appropriate languages. Participates in the structuring of Databases.
Participates in cross-reviews of peers' developments. Initializes the operational file.
Assembles unit components into a coherent application package for solution deployment and integrates it into configuration management. Documents applications for future development and Production Deployment (MEP). Harmonizes and industrializes all components and applications. Uses reusable software components and updates the nomenclature.
UNIT TESTING AND INTEGRATION TESTS:
Responsible for unit tests: test case development and execution. Tests, identifies, and resolves potential malfunctions of the developed software. Verifies the conformity of the work with the requested requirements. Contributes to the preparation and execution of integration tests.
Analyzes results and writes the test report.
MAINTENANCE:
Performs necessary developments for corrective and evolutionary maintenance. Participates in the analysis and resolution of production incidents.
Profile sought
Education: Bac +4/5 from an engineering school or university in computer science. You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Work environment
Strong project constraints: E-commerce, Software and document engineering.
Deliverables are: Design, Development, Unit Tests.
