Developer QGIS and Python Plugin Development

Project overview

For a project in the transport and logistics industry, we are looking for an experienced developer for the development and maintenance of a QGIS plugin in Python. The project will run for a period of 12 months and will be conducted entirely remotely.

Responsibilities

You will develop and maintain a QGIS plugin in Python to replace a legacy system. Your tasks include integration with PostgreSQL and PostGIS, adjustments to Qt6, implementation of authentication and security measures, and the creation of clean, documented code and delivery packages.

Requirements

You have at least 3 years of experience in developing QGIS plugins with Python (PyQGIS/PyQt) at an intermediate level. Knowledge of PostgreSQL and PostGIS integration is required. Furthermore, you should be familiar with the following technologies and concepts: SCRUM, Git, OGC standards (WMS, WFS, OGC API Features), cartography, and layer design.

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is an advantage. You should be able to independently develop specialized QGIS plugins, adhering to best practices for code quality and documentation.
