Responsibilities

Technical consulting and operational involvement in the operation, monitoring, and optimization of productive AWS cloud applications and infrastructure, including Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Helm, Flux, Grafana, OpenSearch, Amazon MSK Serverless, AWS IAM, AWS RDS, AWS Secrets Manager, AWS KMS, Karpenter, Renovate, AWS Lambda, and Python.

• Experience in the configuration and administration of AWS cloud infrastructures for productive applications (3+ years)
• Experience with Kubernetes in the deployment and operation of containerized applications (3+ years)
• Experience in the automated deployment and configuration of infrastructure with Terraform or OpenTofu (3+ years)
• Experience in the ongoing operational management of productive cloud applications, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management (3+ years)
• Experience in operating productive IT applications for operational processes in railway transport, including consideration of business dependencies during disruptions and changes (3+ years)
• Monitoring, logging, and technical error analysis, especially with Grafana and OpenSearch (up to 3 years)
• GitOps as well as deployment and release processes with Helm and Flux (up to 3 years)
• AWS security features and permissions, especially IAM, Secrets Manager, and KMS (up to 3 years)
• Automation of operational and maintenance tasks, e.g., with Python, AWS Lambda, or Renovate (up to 3 years)
• PostgreSQL on AWS RDS and analysis of database connections in application operations (up to 3 years)
• Operation of Kafka infrastructure, especially Amazon MSK (up to 3 years)
• Kubernetes Node Scaling, especially Karpenter, and optimization of cloud resources (up to 3 years)
