Our client, a large and international IT service provider, is looking for a DevOps Engineer with fluent German and English skills for a project in the defense sector, with the highest possible coverage of the requirements profile listed below.

Please note that our client is very price-sensitive and, in addition to technical expertise, places a primary focus on the hourly rate expectation (purely remote deployment).

The DevOps team is responsible for the operation and ongoing development of an open-source cloud platform.

Additionally, the role optimizes development, release, and deployment cycles (automation, scaling, CI/CD) and assists with end-to-end performance testing, resource planning, and security enhancements.

Our Requirements

• a point of contact for product managers, product owners, the operations team, and customers
• handles platform configuration
• supports application development and maintenance
• Kubernetes or comparable container technologies
• Scripting with Go, Python, or Bash
• Automation and automated deployments (Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, Helm)
• CI/CD in Kubernetes environments and repository management
• Git automation (GitHub, GitLab) with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
• Linux
• Monitoring and visualization (Grafana, Prometheus, Instana)
• Platform configuration in the areas of network, application, and security
• Knowledge of Agile methods and Scrum events

Nice to have

• Databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, HANA (desirable)
• Streaming and indexing with Kafka and Elasticsearch (desirable)
