Job description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer for a 3-month renewable mission in Niort, focusing on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to improve the reliability and stability of non-production environments.
Project overview
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer for a 3-month renewable mission in Niort.
Mission Context
We are seeking multidisciplinary SRE expertise (DevOps, system, middleware, databases, network, and observability) to make our non-production environments reliable and sustainably stabilize their availability. The mission consists of analyzing the existing situation, identifying points of fragility, and implementing technical improvements adapted to the architectures and operational constraints. We expect expertise capable of automating recurring operations, improving supervision, and reducing incidents as well as recovery times.
We also want to structure the processes for managing incidents, changes, configurations, and capacities across all relevant environments. Collaboration should foster knowledge transfer, solution documentation, and the adoption of sustainable SRE practices by technical teams.
Objectives and Deliverables
We want to mobilize SRE expertise capable of strengthening the reliability, availability, and exploitability of our non-production environments, while bringing a structured approach to continuous improvement.
- Conduct a technical assessment of the environments, covering systems, middleware, databases, networks, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure components.
- Identify risks, dependencies, single points of failure, obsolescences, and recurring sources of instability.
- Define and prioritize a reliability roadmap with technical, operational, and organizational recommendations.
- Implement improvements in automation, configuration, deployment, and environment management through Infrastructure as Code practices where relevant.
- Strengthen observability through a coherent strategy of monitoring, logging, alerting, metrics, and dashboards.
- Improve procedures for diagnosis, incident management, root cause analysis, and return to normal operations.
- Optimize the availability and performance of system, middleware, database, and network components.
- Contribute to the standardization of environments and the reduction of configuration drift.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation: architecture, operating procedures, escalation instructions, runbooks, and recommendations.
- Transfer knowledge to internal teams and propose monitoring indicators such as availability, incident rate, MTTR, and supervision coverage.
