• Collaboration on the modernization and further development of a central software platform in the energy industry environment
• Step-by-step migration of an existing PHP monolith architecture into a modern microservice landscape based on Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Conception, development, and further development of scalable microservices based on Domain-Driven Design principles (DDD)
• Development of new features, bug fixing, and optimization of existing applications and interfaces
• Responsibility for deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and stability of applications in the DevOps environment
• Implementation of automated tests as well as execution of code reviews and quality assurance measures
• Use of cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes as well as Infrastructure as Code
• Use of AI-supported development tools to optimize development, testing, and migration processes
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation as well as continuous knowledge transfer to internal development teams
• Collaboration in agile, interdisciplinary teams
• Sound practical experience in software development with Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Demonstrable experience with microservice architectures in the JVM environment
• Practical knowledge in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and the modernization of established software architectures
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and the development of REST APIs
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Pull Requests, and Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of monitoring, structured logging, OpenTelemetry, and Kubernetes probes
• Experience with automated tests (unit, integration, and business logic tests)
• Practical experience in the use of AI-supported development tools, for example GitHub Copilot or Cursor
• Ability for independent development, maintenance, and support of productive software solutions
• Willingness for structured knowledge transfer and collaboration with international development teams
• German at native speaker level
• English at least C1
