Devops Infrastructure Engineer - DUO Groningen

Project overview

ATTENTION: This assignment is not available for direct freelance deployment. Deployment can only take place through a secondment agency/supplier or through a payroll/employment contract. The activities will be carried out under the direction and supervision of a public executive organization, which means independent deployment is not permitted. Offering suppliers must be able to be included in the chain. For this, WAADI registration and a G-account are required.

Department Description

The work is done from DUO-ICT in Groningen and focuses on the functioning of the digital workplace in a government-wide context, including the federated government housing system with IDV-P's and IDV-G's. In this context, DUO wants to actively contribute to the functioning of ICT services in a government-wide context by providing concrete wishes, requirements, and proposals.

ODC Noord provides modern, sustainable, and reliable ICT Infrastructure to a large number of (government) parties in the Netherlands. Our services are delivered with various technologies as a private Cloud from our own data centers and the public Cloud. The services are produced by (among others) various (platform) teams and the network team. Our platforms, data centers, and customers are connected by complex, highly available, and secure networks.

Function

ODC Noord is working on a large project in which internal production is extensively automated and standardized. Using a Kubernetes foundation and, in principle, open-source software, a new platform is being developed with which the primary private Cloud services are realized. A team of internal and external platform/infra engineers is being assembled for the construction. The senior infra engineer we are looking for will play an exemplary role in the team, both in terms of content and work methods.

Requirements

HBO Informatics level. Open source (Openshift / Kubernetes, Terraform, Gitlab, ArgoCD, Teleport, Ceph, Linux). 5 years of experience with methods and techniques for Agile design. 5 years of experience with Agile / DevOps production of infrastructures. Experience with "Infrastructure as Code".
