A large industrial group in the automotive sector is seeking a DevOps Engineer to bridge the gap between software development and system administration teams. The role involves managing infrastructure (VMware, Proxmox, AWS) and developing internal tools, with a 50/50 split between these areas.

CONTEXT
For a large industrial group in the automotive sector, we are looking for an Internal Tools & Infrastructure DevOps Engineer. You will act as the link between a software development team (5 engineers + 1 architect) and a system administration team (5 people).
The position is split between infrastructure (approx. 50%) and internal tools development (approx. 50%). No on-call duty, no travel, standard office hours.

Dev: TypeScript, React, Node.js (main stack) – C#/.NET, Python, Go (also present)

PROFILE
Autonomous and rigorous, you enjoy automating and proposing simple, maintainable solutions. You are comfortable with both systems and development teams, and you know how to document and communicate.
This position is for an infra profile that codes, or a dev who likes infra.

- Administration, evolution, and automation of VMware and Proxmox clusters
- Deployment and maintenance of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and RabbitMQ clusters
- High availability, backup, restore, and disaster recovery
- Operation and evolution of AWS infrastructure
- Deployment and maintenance of internal platforms (including TIBCO Spotfire)
- Monitoring, dashboards, and alerting with Datadog (metrics, logs, traces)
- Infrastructure as Code and automation of provisioning and configurations
- Security, performance, and documentation of infrastructures
- Advanced technical support with system administrators
- Support for developers on CI/CD, containerization, and application integration
- Gathering and analyzing IT team needs
- Designing tools to automate common department tasks
- Frontend and backend development on existing applications
- Design and integration of APIs and services
- Corrective and evolutionary maintenance
- Testing, code reviews, and documentation
- You will work with the architect and the software team; you will not bear the entire development cycle alone
- Solid mastery of virtualization (VMware, Proxmox, or equivalent)
- Deployment and operation of databases
- Cluster architectures, high availability, incident recovery
- At least one programming or scripting language
- Automation of infrastructure and operations
