Project overview

For a long-term project at an established telecommunications company, we are seeking an experienced DevOps Platform Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on AWS, Kubernetes, and platform operations.

You will work in a modern cloud and platform environment, supporting the development and operation of productive Kubernetes platforms on AWS. You will take responsibility for infrastructure, automation, observability, and security, working closely with development teams to provide a scalable and high-performance platform.

• Remote Share: up to 90% by arrangement

• Special Feature: Participation in on-call duty required

Responsibilities

Must-have Skills

• Development, operation, and further development of productive Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS)
• Responsibility for platform, infrastructure, security, and observability topics
• Automation of infrastructure, provisioning, and deployment processes
• Development and enhancement of monitoring and observability solutions with Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos, and CloudWatch
• Collaboration with the Developer Experience team to implement self-service offerings and golden paths
• Continuous optimization regarding performance, scalability, stability, and security
• Support in standardizing and further developing the platform landscape
• Several years of practical experience in operating productive Kubernetes environments
• Very good knowledge of AWS, especially:
• EKS
• VPC
• IAM
• S3
• Lambda
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment processes
• Know-how in the area of Infrastructure as Code
• Strong automation mentality
• Experience in platform engineering or DevOps environment
• High team spirit and willingness to take responsibility
