Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an experienced DevOps Platform Engineer (m/f/d) to support an agile platform team.

The focus is on the operation, further development, and automation of a modern cloud platform on AWS. The goal is to provide development teams with a powerful, secure, and scalable self-service platform. The role involves working within a DevOps and platform engineering environment with close collaboration with development teams and the Developer Experience department.

We are looking for an experienced consultant with in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS, who actively supports the entire platform lifecycle and continuously optimizes it.

• Operation and further development of Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS
• Automation of infrastructure and deployment processes
• Implementation and optimization of monitoring and observability solutions
• Further development of the cloud platform regarding performance, stability, and security
• Support in optimizing the Developer Experience
• Infrastructure management in the AWS environment
• Creation of technical documentation
• Participation in on-call duties
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary DevOps and development teams
• Several years of experience in a DevOps or platform engineering environment
• Very good Kubernetes knowledge in productive operation
• Very good AWS knowledge
• Experience with AWS EKS
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation
• Experience in building and operating highly available platforms
• German language skills (written and spoken) (C1 Level)
• Experience with Grafana
