Digital Business Analyst - 12 months - Reading- £500/day

We are looking for a Digital Business Analyst with explicit utility industry experience to bridge business needs and digital solutions for a major UK utility company. You will work with stakeholders, product owners, development teams and end users to define requirements, improve digital processes and support delivery of digital products and services. The contract is 6 months, hybrid in Reading, with 2-3 days per week on-site.

Contract Details

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements through workshops, interviews and stakeholder meetings
• Turn business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, epics and process flows
• Support digital transformation: current and future state analysis, process improvement and automation
• Work with product owners and Scrum teams: backlog refinement, sprint planning and prioritisation by business value
• Produce BRDs, functional specs, use cases, process maps, gap analysis and impact assessments, with requirements traceability
• Support SIT and UAT, acceptance criteria, defect triage and user adoption
• Explicit utility industry experience
• 5+ years' business analysis on digital or technology projects
• Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience
• Requirements gathering and stakeholder management
• Digital platforms, web, mobile or customer-facing solutions
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Miro, Lucidchart, MS Office
• Business process modelling, Kanban, Waterfall and hybrid delivery
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Digital transformation, CX/UX, data analytics, or CRM/ERP/cloud platform experience (desirable)
• Duration: 12 months
• Day Rate: £500 per day
• Determination: Inside IR35
• Location: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite, Reading
