Digital Transformation Consultant Professional / Senior / Expert

Project overview

For the role as Digital Transformation Consultant, we are looking for an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of organizational development, digital transformation, and project and program management. The focus is on advising management, executives, and departments on digital and agile transformation and leading or supporting the associated projects and programs in the public sector, including in the higher education environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading and participating in projects, programs, and portfolios of digital transformation as well as organizational development initiatives
• Advising management, executives, project leads, and departments on strategies, target states, and roadmaps for digital transformation, organizational development, agility, innovation, and digital collaboration
• Conception, planning, steering, and support of transformation, organizational development, and innovation projects
• Analysis, evaluation, and further development of process and organizational structures
• Development and support of solution approaches for improving business processes and collaboration
• Stakeholder, communication, and change management
• Conception and moderation of workshops, working groups, and stakeholder dialogues, for example with Design Thinking, Lean, or agile methods
• Further development of governance structures, role models, decision-making processes, methods, and standards
• Training, coaching, and knowledge and competence building in digital transformation, agility, and collaboration
• Creation of decision bases, concepts, management reports, and presentations for management bodies

Requirements

• Professional experience in organizational development, digital transformation, or management consulting in large and complex organizations according to competence level – Professional from 3, Senior from 5, Expert from 8 years
• Completed university degree (university, ETH, or university of applied sciences) or equivalent qualification based on many years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in the environment of higher education institutions, universities, or federal/cantonal administration, advantageous
• Expertise in the development of digitalization strategies and roadmaps
• Several years of experience in leading and supporting transformation, organizational development, and digitalization projects
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience in project and program management
• Proven experience with agile methods and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
• Experience in analysis, optimization, and design of business processes as well as in change management
• Experience in the conception and execution of workshops, moderations, and stakeholder dialogues
• Experience with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Teams
• Experience in portfolio management and prioritization methods
• Experience with AI-supported working methods
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, networked and process-oriented thinking
• Ability to prepare complex issues in an audience-appropriate manner and to create decision bases, concepts, and management presentations
• High consulting, communication, and moderation competence as well as the ability to involve stakeholders and accompany change processes
• Very good oral and written German skills (native language or C1 certificate)
• Good to very good English skills in speaking and writing, at least B2 level
• Willingness to work on-site in the Zurich area by arrangement
• Agreement to further personnel checks for assignments in sensitive environments
