Senior Business Analyst / DevOps Engineer CI/CD Data Warehouse & Oracle (m/f/d)

About the company

For an established company with a complex data warehouse and database landscape, we are looking for an experienced specialist for the conception and introduction of modern CI/CD processes in the data environment. The focus is on developing a sustainable and practice-oriented deployment and automation concept for database-related developments.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of existing development, test, and deployment processes in the data warehouse environment
• Recording, structuring, and coordinating technical and functional requirements with relevant stakeholders
• Conception and setup of a CI/CD pipeline for Oracle-based database and DWH developments
• Development of concepts for versioning, deployment sequences, and automated releases
• Consideration of dependencies between database objects and technical interfaces
• Creation and further development of shell scripts and Unix/Linux-based automations
• Close collaboration with development, operations, infrastructure, and interface teams
• Integration of existing ETL processes into the target architecture
• Support with tests, commissioning, error analysis, and knowledge transfer

Requirements

Must-haves

Nice-to-haves

• Several years of experience in setting up and introducing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in the data warehouse, database, or data platform environment
• Sound knowledge of relational databases, ideally Oracle
• Very good Unix/Linux knowledge including shell scripting
• Experience in analyzing, structuring, and coordinating technical requirements
• Experience in cross-team collaboration between development and operations
• Very good German and good English skills
• Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration solutions
• Experience in DevOps transformations or DataOps initiatives
• Knowledge of modern deployment and release strategies for database systems
