E/E Configuration Manager and Tool Development

Responsibilities

• Definition and implementation of a configuration management strategy with integration of the SW configuration management strategy, as well as continuous application and monitoring
• Coordination and monitoring of operational activities in configuration management, as well as planning and control of configuration management tasks, deadline tracking according to Automotive SPICE®
• Automation of configuration management-relevant processes and integration of information into other E/E development processes
• Documentation of results as well as creation of evaluations and regular reports
• Maintenance of the infrastructure within configuration management in cooperation with the IT department
• Identification, definition, and baselining of configuration elements
• Participation in the Change Control Board
• Control of planned system releases and their artifacts
• Ensuring records and reporting on the status of configuration elements
• Monitoring the application of the rules defined in the configuration management plan
• Methodology and improvements, including automation of processes where possible (in cooperation with DevOps)
• Continuous improvement of the working method
• Participation in standardization and harmonization activities

• Successfully completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
• Experience in managing system and software projects regarding processes, methods, and tools of configuration management in the automotive environment
• Good knowledge of tools such as Jira, SVN, Git, Jenkins, Polarion, XWiki, or similar
• Good knowledge of maturity models such as Automotive SPICE®
• Experience in software build and release management
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken
• Ideally, experience in product line and variant management
• High level of comprehension and structured way of working
• Ideally, knowledge of scripting languages
• Fluent German and English skills
