Project overview

Our publishing house publishes three established trade magazines, some of which have been on the market for several decades: ReinigungsMarkt, ErgonomieMarkt, and GebäudeReiniger. Now we are taking the next step: Our magazines are to become more modern, fresher, and visually much more appealing. We want to combine the long tradition of the titles with contemporary editorial design.

Responsibilities

You will redesign our trade magazines and then take over their regular graphic implementation. It's not just about an optical refresh. We are looking for someone who brings their own ideas, questions existing design concepts, and wants to help shape our magazines in the long term. You will develop a new design concept for our three trade magazines, from cover to grid structure to typography and imagery. You will transfer the concept into practical layout templates. From 2027, you will take over the graphic implementation of the ongoing magazine issues, which are published several times a year.

You will accompany the production up to the print-ready file. You will work closely with the editorial team and management.

Requirements

Experience in editorial design, magazine layout, or print design. A good sense for typography, grids, and readability. Confident handling of Adobe InDesign and the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with print pre-press and production processes. Desire to visually stage B2B technical topics in a modern and high-quality way. A structured, reliable way of working, even with fixed publication dates.
