Embedded Software Developer MATLAB/Simulink

Project overview

For a project in the field of embedded software development, we are looking for experienced freelance support for the model-based further development of an HVAC system application. In this role, you will take over the implementation of new functions and control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink as well as their integration into an existing embedded Linux environment.

Framework conditions:

• Functional expansion and further development of existing embedded software for an HVAC system
• Implementation of new functions and control algorithms based on defined requirements
• Model-based software development with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
• Integration of the developed functions into an embedded Linux software environment
• Execution of software tests and verification of implemented functions
• Analysis, debugging, and resolution of software errors
• Documentation of software changes and test results
• Completed degree (TU/FH) in Technical Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation or Control Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Many years of practical experience in model-based software development with MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow
• Sound knowledge in the development, expansion, and verification of complex Simulink/Stateflow models
• Experience in the development and implementation of control algorithms, state machines, and process controls
• Experience in the execution and documentation of software, functional, and integration tests
• Knowledge of C and Python advantageous
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux, Git, and CI/CD environments advantageous
• 100% on-site presence at the project location (remote not possible)
