Embedded Software Expert for Hardware-Related Development and Testing

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced expert in hardware-related embedded software and its quality assurance. In this role, you will independently review and optimize existing processes and methods for securing embedded software according to normative and qualitative specifications.

Your tasks include developing new methods for software integration analyses, including data and control flow analysis, worst-case execution time analysis, and memory and map file analysis. You will develop proposals for optimizing assurance and analysis methods and document them in the form of work instructions. You will also create presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.

We expect a technical degree or a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable field. Extensive practical experience in hardware-related embedded software development is required. You should be proficient in the programming languages C and Ada and have experience in software integration, build generation, and debugging. Knowledge of integration analysis tools and scripting languages such as Python is necessary.

Knowledge of normative regulations such as RTCA/DO-178C, ISO 26262, or A-Spice is advantageous. You are characterized by a high degree of independence, responsibility, and quality standards. Communication and teamwork skills, as well as assertiveness in collaboration with other departments, are essential. Very good German and English skills are required.

The position is designed for at least 6 months and starts on the specified start date. EU citizenship is required.
