Embedded Software Test Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Test Engineer to advance and professionalize automated software testing in a complex embedded software environment.

Responsibilities

You will design and implement automated test strategies for software platform components and system services. You will drive the separation of application-specific tests from existing platform-oriented test structures and develop automated test cases with Robot Framework and Python. You will contribute to the design of a virtualization-supported test framework and create GUI and system-level test solutions for Qt-based applications. Furthermore, you will configure and optimize automated test environments with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and Jenkins.

You will integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines, work with HIL and SIL test environments, and analyze test results to derive quality improvements. You will establish best practices for test automation and create technical documentation.

Requirements

You have several years of professional experience in software testing, test automation, or quality engineering. You have sound practical experience with Robot Framework, Python, and Qt-based applications. You are familiar with test automation methodologies, test architecture, and framework development. Solid Linux knowledge and practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins are required. Experience with virtualization technologies (QEMU) and HIL/SIL test environments is desirable. You are characterized by analytical skills, structured work, and a solution-oriented approach.
