• Design, implement, and maintain automated test strategies for software platform components and system services.
• Drive the separation of application-level testing from existing platform test environments.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test cases using Robot Framework and Python.
• Contribute to the design and continuous evolution of a virtualization-based testing framework currently under development.
• Create and enhance GUI and system-level test solutions for Qt-based applications.
• Configure, maintain, and improve automated test environments using Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and Jenkins.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and ensure stable and repeatable execution.
• Work with and extend existing HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) test environments and scenarios.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and derive sustainable quality improvements.
• Establish and promote best practices for test automation, framework development, and quality engineering.
• Participate in technical discussions related to test architecture, automation strategy, and quality standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for test frameworks, automation concepts, and testing processes.
• Several years of professional experience in Software Testing, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework and Python.
• Proven experience testing Qt-based applications and graphical user interfaces.
• Solid understanding of test automation methodologies, test architecture, and automated framework development.
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based environments.
• Practical experience with modern automation and virtualization environments, including technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or comparable platforms.
• Experience working with CI/CD environments and automation tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with virtualization-based testing approaches using QEMU or comparable technologies is highly desirable.
• Exposure to HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and/or SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) testing environments.
• Ability to design, implement, and continuously improve scalable automated test environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a structured and quality-focused working style.
• Proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to take ownership of technical topics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in international and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English language skills are mandatory.
• Experience with embedded software and embedded Linux systems.
• Hands-on experience with GUI test automation tools such as Squish.
• Background in consumer electronics, IoT devices, connected products, or comparable technology-driven environments.
• Experience contributing to the development and optimization of automated test frameworks and quality engineering practices.
• Knowledge of integration, system, performance, and regression testing.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• German language skills are considered an advantage.
