Employee Warehouse Logistics (m/f/d) – Materials Management & SAP S/4HANA

Project overview

For the Wilhelmshaven site, we are looking for support in the area of logistics and materials management. You will take over the complete logistical support of BWI training facilities intended for assembly and setup – from goods receipt, SAP booking, and material provision to packaging and shipping preparation.

The goal of your activity is a smooth, complete, and always traceable material flow. This includes correct material assignment, high inventory quality, clear traceability of serialized components, and timely processing of incoming goods in SAP S/4HANA. You will work closely with the assembly team, project managers, and the involved shipping and logistics points.

• Acceptance and inspection of incoming goods and materials for completeness and externally visible damage
• Reconciliation with delivery notes, orders, and accompanying documents, as well as clarification and documentation of discrepancies, shortages, damages, or incorrect deliveries
• Timely booking of incoming goods in SAP S/4HANA and maintenance of material and inventory data
• Serialization and inventory for clear assignment and traceability of components
• Professional storage and placement in designated storage locations
• Organization, planning, and optimization of storage areas, as well as ensuring order and cleanliness in storage and staging areas
• Monitoring of material stocks, execution of verified stock corrections, and regular and ad-hoc inventories, including reconciliation with SAP and clarification of inventory differences
• Preparation and processing of packing lists, picking of materials including additional materials and small parts, as well as assignment to facilities, projects, or orders
• Timely material provision for assembly and tracking of outstanding components
• Coordination with assembly and project managers for missing or deviating materials
• Completeness and final checks regarding quantities, material numbers, serial numbers, and assignment before handover to assembly or packaging, as well as documentation of missing parts and discrepancies
• Creation, maintenance, and printing of final content lists, as well as labeling and marking of IT racks, components, and packaging units
• Transport-safe packaging of training facilities, IT racks, and associated materials, consolidation of main and additional materials into complete shipping units, and checking of packing and content lists
• Handover of shipping units to shipping or freight forwarders
• Participation in the continuous optimization of warehouse and material processes
• You have German language skills at least at level B2
• You have completed vocational training as a specialist for warehouse logistics or warehouse clerk. Alternatively, you have at least five years of relevant professional experience in warehouse logistics.
• SAP S/4HANA – mandatory requirement: You have at least six months of practical experience with SAP S/4HANA in all the following processes: goods receipt postings, inventory management, material data, serial numbers, and stock corrections.
• Documentation and IT competence: You have at least one year of experience in creating and maintaining packing, content, and inventory lists and are proficient in MS Excel, especially with filters, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
• Logistics quality understanding: You have at least one year of practical experience in serialization, inventory, labeling, picking, and completeness checks and are familiar with the traceable assignment and traceability of technical components.
• You require the willingness and occupational medical fitness for the described warehousing, picking, and packaging activities, as well as compliance with the occupational health and safety regulations applicable at the site.
• Furthermore, a travel readiness of a maximum of 5% of working time is required
• Warehouse logistics and materials management: at least two years of relevant professional experience within the last five years in all the following areas: goods receipt, warehousing, picking, inventory management, and shipping preparation.
• Material provision in assembly or project environments: at least one year of experience with packing lists, facility or order-related material assignment, missing parts tracking, and coordination with assembly or project managers.
• Packaging and shipping of technical components: at least one year of practical experience in professional packaging, labeling, and shipping preparation of technical components.
