Currently, I am looking for an Engineering Manager HVDC Offshore (m/f/d) for my client:

• Project-based support in the overall coordination of engineering activities within a large offshore HVDC project
• Participation in the alignment of technical requirements, project goals, and quality, cost, and schedule parameters
• Support in ensuring consistent system integration across various disciplines and project packages
• Participation in the coordination of technical interfaces between engineering, procurement, logistics, construction, commissioning, and external contractors
• Project-based support in technical reviews, design decisions, and engineering governance processes
• Participation in the assessment and tracking of technical risks, opportunities, and change processes
• Support in reviewing technical specifications, requirements, and engineering documentation
• Participation in ensuring compliance with regulatory, technical, quality-related, and HSE requirements
• Support in monitoring engineering progress and relevant project milestones
• Participation in coordination with certification bodies, authorities, contractors, and other project stakeholders
• Support in the implementation of quality and technical assurance processes
• Participation in the development and dissemination of lessons learned and best practices within the project context
• Support in the introduction of innovative technologies and modern engineering approaches

Utilization: 320 project days total

50% Remote, 20% Onsite around Berlin, 30% travel (including Dubai / Papendrecht / Netherlands)

Project language: English (min. C1), German advantageous

Must-haves:

• Completed degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, or comparable)
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in an engineering environment
• Demonstrable project experience in complex infrastructure, energy, or HVDC projects
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering activities
• Very good knowledge of Systems Engineering and technical system integration
• Experience in handling technical interfaces, risks, and stakeholders within large project organizations
• Good knowledge of relevant standards, quality standards, and HSE requirements
• Fluent English skills (minimum C1)
• Experience in offshore wind, grid connection, or HVDC projects
• Experience in the offshore energy sector or large energy transition projects
• Additional language skills besides German and English
• Experience in an international project environment with EPCI contract structures
• Knowledge of modern digital engineering methods and innovation approaches
