Job description
Experienced Engineering Manager / Owner's Engineer needed for a large-scale energy supply project (new construction/erection of a gas and steam turbine power plant / CCGT). The role involves technical overall control, supplier & EPC management, interface management, and quality/standards compliance.
Project overview
For a demanding large-scale project in the energy supply sector (new construction / erection of a gas and steam turbine power plant / CCGT), we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager / Owner's Engineer to strengthen the client's team as soon as possible.
The position offers a long-term perspective in a dynamic project environment. A high remote share is possible, especially in the initial phase (supplier selection, design review, interface clarification).
Responsibilities
Technical Overall Control: Overall coordination and monitoring of the detailed engineering from the client's side across all disciplines (mechanical engineering, rotating equipment, piping, civil, electrical/instrumentation & control).
Supplier & EPC Management: Technical evaluation of offers, review of specifications, and design reviews of the main component suppliers.
Interface Management: Coordination between the EPC contractor, subcontractors, authorities, and the future operator.
Quality & Standards Compliance: Ensuring compliance with client standards and legal regulations (VGB, HAZOP/SIL, ATEX, DIN/EN).
Preparation for Implementation: Transition of engineering results into the construction and commissioning phase.
Requirements
Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, energy technology, or comparable qualification (Dipl.-Ing. / M.Sc.).
Sound project experience in CCGT power plant construction (at least 10+ years of industry experience).
Demonstrable experience as an Engineering Manager, Lead Engineer, or Owner's Engineer in large-scale power plant projects.
Strong knowledge in the areas of turbomachinery, process technology, piping, and plant safety.
Fluent German and English language skills.
