Enterprise/Domain Architect, Core Banking Systems/100%/ZH

Project Focus: As part of a strategic platform program, the existing core banking system landscape is being consolidated and realigned for the future. The focus is on developing bank-wide architectural target images, preparing and conducting an RFP, and developing a viable target architecture including an implementation roadmap. The goal is a future-proof, integrated core banking platform in line with the IT and corporate strategy.

Start 01.01.2027 at 100% for 14 months in Zurich.

Responsibilities

• Development of the strategic application architecture for core banking systems and their directly connected applications.
• Development of a bank-wide reference architecture across various functional domains.
• Structuring, analysis, and critical evaluation of functional requirements in close coordination with business and IT stakeholders.
• Development of an implementation roadmap including critical path, dependencies, and defined exit points.
• Functional support of the core banking transformation across all project phases.
• Support of RFP preparation and execution, as well as vendor selection.
• Evaluation and critical review of solution architectures, proposals, and costs.
• Ensuring alignment of architectural decisions with the IT and corporate strategy.

• Several years of experience as an Enterprise Architect or Domain Architect in complex IT landscapes, ideally with a focus on core banking systems.
• Sound knowledge in the architecture and transformation of core banking systems, particularly in the areas of accounts, securities, payment transactions, settlement, clearing, and financing.
• Proven experience in core banking transformations with various products and across all project phases.
• Very good knowledge of modern architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Capability Based Modelling, and common integration patterns.
• Experience in agile project environments, for example with Scrum or SAFe.
• Broad understanding of banking applications, IT solutions, and bank-wide reference architectures.
• Ability to communicate complex architectural decisions appropriately to different audiences, from C-level to implementation teams.
• German: at least C1
