Job description
A renowned bank in Zurich is seeking an experienced ICT Architect to develop the strategic application architecture for core banking systems and related applications. The role involves creating a cross-domain reference architecture and ensuring alignment with IT and business strategies.
Project overview
For our client, a renowned bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced personality as ICT Architect.
Please note that due to current Swiss legislation, we can only consider applications from Swiss citizens, EU citizens, and individuals with a valid work permit.
Remote work from abroad is not possible.
Responsibilities
- Development of the strategic application architecture for core banking systems and applications in the direct environment
- Development of an overarching reference architecture across business domains
- Ensuring the alignment of the architecture with IT and corporate strategy
- Structuring and critically reviewing business requirements
- Development of an implementation roadmap including critical path, dependencies, and exit points
- Support of vendor selection and critical assessment of costs
- Preparation and execution of RFP processes and development of bank-wide target visions
- Consulting on Enterprise Architecture topics
- Close collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture, and the Delivery Organization
Requirements
Soft Skills
- At least 12 years of relevant professional experience
- Several years of experience as a Domain or Enterprise Architect in complex IT landscapes
- Sound experience in the area of core banking systems, particularly in the management, settlement, and processing of accounts, securities, payment transactions, and financing
- Experience with core banking transformations, different products, and all project phases
- Experience with modern architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
- Experience with Capability Based Modelling
- Experience in agile working environments, for example with Scrum and SAFe
- Very good understanding of common integration patterns
- Broad know-how of banking applications, IT solutions, and reference architectures
- German at C1 level
- English at C1 level
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to critically question business requirements and prepare them in a structured manner
- Very good communication skills at different hierarchical levels
- Age-appropriate communication from C-level to implementation teams
- Independent and structured way of working
- Strong ability to collaborate with various business and IT stakeholders
