Job description
We are seeking an experienced Development Engineer to join our team, focusing on fluid mechanics and numerical simulation. The role involves technical development of flow systems and components in the early development phase, emphasizing precision, durability, and cost-efficiency.
Project overview
We are looking for an experienced development engineer to strengthen our team in the field of fluid mechanics and numerical simulation. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical development of flow systems and components in the early development phase, with a focus on precision, durability, and cost-efficiency.
Your tasks include the development and validation of models and methods for molecular and continuum mechanical flow simulations, particularly Lattice Boltzmann Methods (LBM), Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams of internal and external developers, service providers, and suppliers. A significant part of your daily work involves requirements management, stakeholder management, and the creation of development documents.
As part of industrialization, you will be responsible for design verification, manufacturability and integration capability, and risk management. You will represent your topics to projects and customers within a development network of high-tech partners and research institutions.
You bring a very good university degree in aerospace engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics, as well as professional experience in industry and science. In-depth knowledge in the design of flow systems and several years of experience in programming and application of DSMC, LBM, or CFD software are required. You work independently and systematically, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and can navigate interdisciplinary, highly dynamic environments.
Very good German and English skills, as well as experience in evaluating experimental measurement data, complete your profile.
The work location is in Baden-Württemberg with a hybrid working model.
