Permit granting, supervision, enforcement, and environmental advice are important pillars of Omgevingsdienst Twente, which carries out these tasks for affiliated governments. The execution requires a careful balance between economic activity, compliance with rules, and protection of the living environment. Specialists deal with themes such as soil, noise, air, external safety, energy, and environmentally burdensome activities. New regulations and the energy transition are changing the nature of many dossiers and require up-to-date specialist knowledge.

Regional cooperation helps Omgevingsdienst Twente to bundle expertise and handle comparable situations in a recognizable and professional manner. Employees must constantly switch between substantive quality, practical execution, and cooperation with the environment.

• You conduct integrated environmental inspections at smaller companies that do not require a permit.
• You assess at the lower end of the regulations which environmentally burdensome activity (MBA) a location falls under and whether a notification is required.
• You also visit companies to clean up the business registry.
• You update the basic data of locations in the case system Powerbrowser from Genetics.
• Your candidate has a completed technical or environmental HBO/MBO education
• Your candidate has at least three years of work experience as an Environmental Supervisor
• Your candidate has knowledge of the Environmental Act and the BAL
• Your candidate has at least a B driver's license
• Your candidate has affinity with computer systems
