Seeking an experienced technical IT Project Manager to plan, manage, and implement strategic security initiatives within a company-wide IT security program. The role involves coordinating various departments, IT units, and external service providers to ensure timely and sustainable implementation of security measures.
Project overview
For a long-term IT security program, we are looking for an experienced technical project manager (m/f/d) who plans, manages, and successfully implements strategically relevant security initiatives.
The focus is on coordinating various specialist departments, IT units, and external service providers, as well as ensuring the sustainable and timely implementation of security measures within a complex corporate environment.

- Leadership and management of complex IT security projects and workstreams
- Planning, tracking, and reporting of milestones, risks, and dependencies
- Coordination of internal specialist departments and external service providers
- Management of measures to increase the security maturity level
- Preparation and execution of management and steering committees
- Ensuring transparency regarding progress, risks, and escalations
- Support in prioritizing and implementing regulatory requirements
- Close collaboration with security architects as well as infrastructure, cloud, and operations teams
- At least 5 years of experience as a project manager or program manager in the IT or IT security environment
- Very good understanding of modern IT infrastructures, cloud environments, and security architectures
- Demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Vulnerability and Patch Management
- Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Cloud Security
- Network and Infrastructure Security / System Hardening
- Confident communication at management level
- Very good German and English language skills
- Experience in managing external service providers
- Experience in security transformations
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or comparable
- Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001)
- Experience in regulated corporate environments (insurance, finance, banking, etc.)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as NIST, ISO 27001, or DORA
- High degree of independence and execution strength
- Strong communication and moderation skills
- Structured and solution-oriented approach to work
- Ability to successfully bring together technical and functional stakeholders
- Confident demeanor in demanding program environments
- Hands-on mentality and proactive work approach
