Responsibilities

The goal of the project is the ergonomic and geometric design of the seating position and operator workstations for system operators within an armored vehicle. The design will take into account the given spatial constraints, ergonomic requirements, and relevant standards.

The study aims to determine optimal seating positions for different user groups (P5 female to P95 male) to ensure safe, comfortable, and sustainable operation of the system. The concept should support uninterrupted operation for up to 24 hours and multi-day stays in the vehicle.

Determination of optimal seating positions considering:

+ Analysis of the existing geometric constraints of the fighting compartment

+ Investigation of the accessibility and visibility of the relevant control and display devices

+ Definition of ergonomically optimal seating positions for the given percentiles

+ Evaluation of an H-point-fix approach

+ Basic investigation of an eye-point-fix approach

+ Determination of necessary adjustment ranges for seats and controls

+ Development of proposals for workstation design

+ Documentation of results and recommendations
