With your energy, it's possible
The demand for transport and distribution capacity is growing explosively. The grid load is increasing so rapidly that ongoing grid reinforcements and expansions are not fast enough to provide sufficient capacity. This leads to congestion in the electricity grid. To create more space in the grid in the short term, Enexis must get the most out of the existing electricity grid.
As an Expert (Gas) Regulation Capacity within the Congestion Office, you will work on the practical and substantive development of solutions for this challenge. You will provide specialist knowledge about generation units at customers and ensure that market supply, contracts, processes, and realization align well. With this, you make a direct contribution to making additional capacity available on the electricity grid.
You work in the dynamic world of Operations. This brings together technical issues, market developments, contractual agreements, and the daily practice of work and outages.
Use your expertise for solutions that contribute to the energy transition.
Work at the intersection of technology, market, contracts, and operations.
Ensure that new forms of regulation capacity become practically deployable.
This is how you will tackle this challenge
As an Expert (Gas) Regulation Capacity, you will develop the knowledge, processes, and working methods within the Congestion Office that are necessary for the deployment of gas regulation capacity and Flex(tender). You will be the substantive specialist in the area of generation units at customers. You will assess what is technically and economically possible and translate this knowledge into applicable agreements and processes.
You will collaborate with customers, suppliers, and various organizational units within Enexis. You will move easily in a new playing field, where not all working methods and standards are yet established. You will bring structure, make choices transparent, and ensure that solutions are also feasible in practice.
In addition, you will be able to guide your fellow Congestion Officers in this new development and promote an inclusive and pleasant working environment where learning from each other is the norm. You will not shy away from addressing and discussing issues.
What will you do?
Provide expertise in the area of generation units at customers (emission limits, operating hours, investment costs, variable costs, etc.)
Assess supplier offers
Guide the realization process after award
Match market supply to (to be modified) standard contracts
Update and develop new processes regarding the deployment of Flex(tender)
Manage and coordinate the Flex channel
This is how you approach it
You possess:
Minimum HBO+ work and thinking level (Technical study and/or Business Administration)
5-7 years of relevant work experience (preferably with generation units)
Experience in complex stakeholder environments and change management
Strong analytical and communication skills
An organizationally sensitive, connecting, and results-oriented way of working
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written
Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
In addition to substantive expertise, we expect you to:
Take charge, act proactively, and show ownership in complex issues
Be analytically strong and make sharp judgments based on data and risks
Connect effectively, listen actively, and involve stakeholders in a complex playing field
Listen actively, ask the right questions, and create support
Be decisive and communicate clearly, even under pressure and uncertainty
Contribute to an open and safe feedback culture
You will put your shoulder to the wheel with…
Work with your colleagues from the Congestion Office and the operations staff in Enexis's control rooms in Zwolle and Weert, who ensure that the network functions smoothly. Our new discipline embraces an open culture with feedback, humor, and a strong team spirit. In this dynamic environment where the electricity grid is constantly changing, you are part of a team that strives for collaboration and a positive working atmosphere.
Good to know??
After your application, you will receive an email with more information about the procedure. The first step is an initial interview with Jop Hoeijmakers. A screening is part of the application procedure. Afterwards, you will meet other Enexis employees to get a good picture of your future colleagues and the challenges. If all goes well, we will see if we can come to an agreement!
