Seeking an expert in Kafka/Confluent for a long-term project involving the implementation of a data exchange platform for a social protection organization. The role focuses on design, implementation, and industrialization of the Kafka/Confluent foundation.
Project overview
Context
A social protection sector establishment is launching a project to implement a data exchange platform based on Apache Kafka (Confluent distribution). This platform will support data exchange, replication, and integration use cases between its various technical platforms (relational databases, Hadoop, ETL, Data Warehouse). The expert will join the project team for the design, implementation, and industrialization of this future platform.
Missions
Work Arrangements
- Implementation of a pilot Kafka/Confluent platform: installation and configuration of the cluster, definition of operational standards and norms, setup of administration tools, security and authorization mechanisms, performance optimization, and construction of deliverable industrialization processes.
- Installation and configuration of standard and specific Confluent producer/consumer connectors required for the initial use cases, with particular attention to industrialization (flow declaration, configuration management, automated deployment, consideration of schema evolution).
- Implementation of operational procedures (shutdown/restart, monitoring, dashboards, documentation).
- Extension of the platform to a broader scope: extension of the existing data platform, replacement of a Change Data Capture tool with Kafka, replacement of batch extraction mechanisms with real-time flows, implementation of database replication via Kafka, and study of migrating an existing exchange platform to Kafka.
- Support for the project team in skills transfer.
- Writing of architecture documents, standards, and operational documentation.
- Primary Location: Gradignan (33).
- Positioning from Paris or Lyon may be considered subject to high autonomy and regular travel to Gradignan.
- 3 days of on-site presence at one of the client's 3 sites are required.

- 12 months renewable.
