Expert Kafka Consultant

Project overview

As part of its growth, Soors is looking for an expert Kafka Consultant to support the implementation of an enterprise Kafka foundation for a major client, located in Gradignan.

Role and missions:

• Install and configure a Kafka/Confluent cluster to ensure enterprise-wide data exchange, replication, and integration.
• Define and implement operational standards, security, and administration tools.
• Industrialize Kafka connector management processes (PostgreSQL, Hadoop, Datastage, Teradata) and optimize platform performance.
• Supervise operational procedures, migration of existing flows, PostgreSQL replication, and WebMethods migration.
• Write the technical documentation necessary for the sustainability and maintainability of the solution.

• Guarantee the availability and performance of the Kafka platform.
• Ensure the security, supervision, and automation of operational tasks.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and support skills development around Kafka and its connectors.
• Propose continuous improvement solutions for the technical foundation.
• Kafka Confluent, Strimzy, Shell, Python, Json, Linux Redhat, PostgreSQL, Hadoop (Cloudera), IBM Infosphere CdC, Kubernetes, Ansible, Vmware, IWS scheduler, Prometheus/Grafana, ETL Datastage, Power-BI, SAS, Teradata.

• Partial remote work possible according to client terms.
