Accounting Expert with Focus on Annual Financial Statements

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an Accounting Expert with a focus on annual financial statements (m/f/d) starting immediately.

Project Goal: Ensuring proper annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS and stabilizing the accounting department.

Responsibilities

• Advising on and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB.
• Advising management, group functions, auditors, tax advisors, and authorities on all financial matters.
• Technical management of the accounting team with two employees.
• Advising on ensuring proper financial accounting, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting.
• Advising on complex booking processes in daily business.
• Advising on group financial statements and IFRS group processes.
• Managing intercompany reconciliations within the corporate group.
• Ensuring compliance with tax, commercial law, and internal group regulations.

Requirements

Project Language: German and English

Remote Share: 20%

Utilization: 4-5 days per week

Industry: Industry

• Completed business administration degree with a focus on accounting, finance, or taxes, or a comparable commercial qualification with further training.
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting in a manufacturing company.
• Profound knowledge of financial statement preparation according to HGB and good knowledge of IFRS.
• High level of certainty in financial statements and a strong understanding of accounting relationships.
• Confident use of ERP systems and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Structured, pragmatic, and efficient way of working.
• High sense of responsibility and strong communication skills.
• Good German and English skills as well as confidence in technical discussions.
