Seeking an experienced Power BI consultant to support subsidiaries with their business intelligence solutions, ensuring the operational maintenance and evolution of reporting and data analysis tools. The role involves business and technical project management in collaboration with business and IT teams.
Project overview
As part of supporting the client's subsidiaries on their Microsoft business intelligence solutions, the mission aims to ensure the continuity, operational maintenance, and evolution of data reporting and analysis tools. The consultant acts as a support for business and technical project management, in collaboration with business and IT teams. The main challenge is to guarantee the reliability, performance, and adequacy of Power BI solutions to the operational needs of the subsidiaries.
Missions:
Expected Profile:
Experienced BI consultant with at least 3 to 5 years of experience on Microsoft Power BI, with solid practice in data modeling, DAX language, and Power Query transformations. Significant experience in business and technical project management is expected, as well as the ability to work on solutions already in production. The profile must demonstrate autonomy, analytical skills, writing skills, and pedagogical abilities to effectively support business and IT teams.
- Gather and analyze business needs regarding reporting and data analysis
- Lead workshops with users and business teams
- Identify and define key performance indicators
- Formalize functional specifications and assess the technical feasibility of requests
- Design and evolve business intelligence data models
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Create and optimize DAX measures and calculations
- Perform data transformations and preparations with Power Query
- Structure and optimize data flows feeding the business intelligence solutions
- Improve data quality and report performance
- Implement and execute data and reporting quality controls
- Organize and carry out functional and technical acceptance testing phases
- Write and maintain functional and technical documentation
- Ensure knowledge transfer to business and IT teams
- Guarantee the maintenance and evolution of Power BI solutions in production
