Field Service Technician – Natural Gas Compression

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician for the maintenance and repair of engine-driven compressor packages in natural gas production. You will work in a defined service area and be responsible for the maintenance of assigned equipment at various customer locations.

Your tasks include performing maintenance and repair work on compressors and gas engines, diagnosing faults such as engine misfires, overheating, and lubrication problems, as well as inspecting and replacing wear parts. You will monitor operating pressures and temperatures to minimize potential downtime and assist with commissioning and major repairs. Documentation of maintenance work, operating hours, and repair findings is also part of your responsibilities.

We expect sound field knowledge in the maintenance of engine-driven compressor packages, practical knowledge of relevant compressor and engine types, and the ability for independent fault diagnosis. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned area are required. You should be available for on-call duty and occasional emergency deployments outside regular working hours.

Experience with compressor service providers, knowledge of control systems and electronic ignition systems, as well as experience with compressor commissioning and overhauls are advantageous.
