$600 - $740/day incl. super

We're looking for a FinOps Specialist to join a large, complex technology environment, supporting cloud financial management, reporting and governance across the organisation.

This role would suit someone with experience across financial analysis, cloud cost management or technology reporting who enjoys working with both technical and business stakeholders.

About You

This is a great opportunity to build further experience in Cloud FinOps, working across financial governance, cloud optimisation and technical reporting in a large-scale environment.

Please note: Only candidates based in Sydney, with Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency will be considered for this position.

• Support monthly cloud financial reporting, forecasting and trend analysis.
• Coordinate cloud OPEX reviews with application and technology teams.
• Track cloud spend, variances, optimisation initiatives and savings opportunities.
• Prepare governance packs, metrics and reporting for key stakeholders.
• Support cloud cost transparency and planning activities.
• Provide operational and reporting support for a custom Python-based FinOps tool.
• Assist with reporting tool maintenance and enhancements.
• 2-3+ years' experience across FinOps, financial analysis, business reporting or IT operations.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and cloud financials across AWS, Azure and/or OCI.
• Strong reporting, analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Confident engaging stakeholders and gathering financial/forecast information.
• Some technical capability, ideally including Python, data/reporting or automation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work across finance and technology teams.
